This pleasant Aegean retreat has been designed to the highest
specifications, by a top Turkish architect. The villa itself is cool
inside by day or night, and an air-conditioning system keeps a constant
perfect temperature. The spacious kitchen is equipped with all modern
European appliances including cooker, oven, fridge/freezer, washing
machine, dish washer, toaster, kettle etc. The table in the kitchen seats up to six,
and a patio table and deck chairs are provided also. The patio is shaded
overhead and the cool tiles and light breeze from the Gumusluk bay make it
the perfect spot to relax. You will also find a stone BBQ on the patio.
The living room has a 3-piece suite, and a television with satellite
capable of receiving some European channels. The sofa in the living room
can be easily turned into a double bed if necessary. There are three
bedrooms in the house - two singles and one double. Each bedroom has a
wardrobe and cabinets. The master bedroom has an en-suite. There are two
other bathrooms - one upstairs and another dowstairs.
Finally, every window in the house, and the front door, is covered with
a mosquito screen. Mosquitoes can be very troublesome in Turkey during the
Summer months and having adequate protection is vital as any frequent
holidaymaker will tell you.

15B Myndos Hills is one of 60 newly-built villas in the Myndos Hills complex on
the Bodrum Peninsula. It is a largely English speaking complex just outside the
pleasant fishing village of Gumusluk. The complex overlooks the Aegean sea and
spectacular views are to be found all along the coast. There is a secluded beach
a few minutes from the villa. On the complex there is a swimming pool
including a shallow children's paddle pool, a restaurant/bar, and two small
shops with food and essential items. Five minutes walk away there is another
restaurant/café with a breathtaking view of the Myndos valley (see photos).
A minibus service called the Dolmus regularly circles the Bodrum peninsula.
It's a great way to discover the island and all the villages and towns of the
area, such as Turgutres, Yalikavak, Bodrum... These villages have some excellent
restaurants with local dishes as well as European cuisine. A prestigious and
highly praised Turkish restaurant called Limon is a short Dolmus ride from the
villa. The Dolmus passes close to the villa every fifteen minutes and runs from
7AM to 3AM so transport is never a problem!

Most flights to the Bodrum area come in to the Bodrum-Milas airport. A taxi
pickup service provided by Myndos Hills can be arranged for visitors. Cars can
be rented in the area at very reasonable prices, thanks to huge competition
between local rent-a-car companies.
There is plenty to offer more adventurous holidaymakers. Tour companies in
Bodrum arrange daily excursions to Efesus, Pamukkale and even trips to Istanbul. |

The staff at the Myndos complex are always eager to help, and include: a 24-hour
security cabin just 15 metres away from our villa, a technical service for help
with the TV or appliances, airport transfer service, pool cleaning, and there
are three restaurants and three small shops within 5 minutes walking distance.
The restaurant also does breakfast, and stays open from early morning until late
at night. Many of the other residents of Myndos are English-speaking, from
Britain and Ireland, and there is always a lively atmosphere around the pool and
at the restaurant/snack bar beside it. Deck chairs and sun umbrellas are
provided by the pool for all guests. For small children, there is a playground
just a few metres from our villa.
